Are The Eagle’s Defensive Players Even Breathing?
Dear Sean McDermott,
Sean, let me start off by telling you that I have a lot of confidence in your ability as the Eagles defensive coordinator. I know it’s only preseason, but after the first two games… the whole leagues is looking at the film and highlights and thinking to themselves, “Eagles defense…horrific.” Please do something, mainly about the pass defense. I’m sure you know all the stats, but let me refresh your mind. Tom Brady went 10-15 with two touchdowns. He drove down the field with ease and threw to whoever he wished.
The same thing happened when the defense faced Peyton Manning. He drove right down the field on the first drive and scored a touchdown. He ended the game going 10-14 with two touchdowns. Seriously, last night Peyton Manning could have put up sixty points on the defense.As an Eagles fan, even with my large amount of confidence that I have in you, I am a little worried. Dawkins is gone and Bradley is out… is that going to take our defense from being really good to extremely bad? I hope that when Jacksonville rolls into Philly next week, the defense does not allow David Garrard to look like a Pro Bowler out there… if that happens, I will have trouble saying that I still have full confidence in our defense.
