The Best Gift A Philly Team Can Give Me This Holiday Season is ___.
Welcome to another installment of FILL IT IN. This one’s a Holiday edition. Here’s a few guidelines for answering this one. The “gift” from the Philadelphia sports team has to be “given” to you by the beginning of January (because that’s when the Holiday season ends). If you think hard about it, there’s plenty to wish for…Our opinion: A first round bye. There are a lot of different answers for this that we thought over (The Flyers are playing in the Winter Classic, the Sixers have an important road trip, Temple’s basketball team takes on the #1 team in the country, the Phillies could sign another free agent) but the best thing that could happen for us right now is for the Eagles to get an important first round bye in the playoffs.
Iverson Out Against Celtics

Allen Iverson’s return to Philly was an event that had the NBA and the whole sports industry buzzing. He played a handful of games and is averaging just over 14 points per game. He is dishing out 4 assists and grabbing about 3 rebounds a game. I would say that he is contributing nicely. He obviously isn’t the 30 points a night Iverson anymore.
One of Iverson’s characteristics that makes him a fan favorite in Philadelphia is his toughness. He played through various injuries and made it look like he was perfectly fine for so many years.
However, against the Celtics Iverson will be sitting out. Why? Arthritis. Allen Iverson has arthritis in his left knee and also a right shoulder contusion. The important thing is for the Sixers to handle it correctly and not rush into putting him back in Read the rest of this entry »
