Is Vick Really Worth It?
Millions of people hate Vick. Some Eagles fans hate Vick. Some Eagles fans even stopped watching the games because of Vick.
The Birds made a huge splash by signing him last season to jolt the offense but the wildcat plays rarely worked. He only had 3 total touchdowns and less than 100 rushing yards in 12 games. Now he’s entering his second year with the team and they’re paying him way more than last season. Do they expect to get more out of him? Read the rest of this entry »
Vick a top 10 QB
Michael Vick was on the Dan Patrick Radio Show recently and here is what he said, “”I still feel like I’m among the top 10, to be honest.” He stated that he is confident in his abilities. Now, here is my opinion on Michael Vick.
Michael Vick is an athlete. He is fast, but not as fast as he used to be. He is quick, but not as quick as he used to be. His passing ability is unknown since he really didn’t throw the ball that much this season. He was 6-13 for a total of 86 yards and one touchdown. He ran the ball 24 times racking up 96 yards, an average Read the rest of this entry »
Eagles Get The Prime Time Win
Last time the Eagles had the entire country watching them it was kind of embarrassing. They lost to the Cowboys in a game they should have won. This time we were all hoping it went better and it did.
I’m sure you all watched the Eagles take care of the Bears last night 24-20. It was a solid win but an overall up and down performance by the offense. They started off the first quarter hot but looked like they rolled over to die after the second quarter. There were a few fumbles and an interception but they woke back up and took the lead.
One good sign from Sunday night was the emergence of a running game that included none other than MICHAEL VICK! LeSean McCoy stepped in for the injured Westbrook and had 99 rushing yards and a nice touchdown in the 4th quarter to put the Birds ahead. Also, MICHAEL VICK! Read the rest of this entry »
Oh Michael Vick…
Well we knew this was going to happen. Michael Vick is unhappy with his role on the Eagles. This season Vick has attempted six passes in which he has only completed two of them, and only for six yards total. He has twelve rushing attempts for twenty-seven yards, an average of 2.3 yards a carry. While the signing of Michael Vick was all about adding another weapon to the team, really it has done nothing. The wildcat for the Eagles offense has really done nothing. I like the concept, but taking McNabb out of the game and force Vick in, really just does not make sense.
“I won’t be a Wildcat guy. I can’t,” Vick told NBC. “It’s a different style of play. It’s almost like a hit-or-miss type of thing. My position is quarterback. That’s what I was born to do.”
Eagles Preview: Week 5

We all know that the Eagles are good and the Buccaneers are bad. But they play the games for a reason so if they Eagles take them too lightly, anything can happen. Except the Eagles won’t take them too lightly and will win this game. They’ve had 2 weeks to prepare for this game and become healthy. Westbrook fells a bit better, McNabb feels better and Vick has had more time to practice with the team. Judging by Andy Reid’s superb record in games following bye weeks, this team will be prepared and hand Tampa Bay their 5th straight loss of the season. Here are a few things to look for in the Eagles’ offense in Sunday’s game:
Michael Vick:
He played in week 3 in his much anticipated return to football. But he played sparingly and didn’t do anything too impressive. There is no doubt he will progress throughout the season and it should be interesting watching him as the games go bye. Nobody thought he would come back in his first game and dominate every time he touched the ball (Like in Madden 10). Read the rest of this entry »
What to Look for in Sunday’s Game
If you have been following the Eagles like a true fan, or simply read our last post, it should not be breaking news that the Eagles are banged up. They are 1-1, tied with every other team in the NFC East besides the 2-0 Giants. With the bye week coming up, the Eagles really need to go into the week off with a 2-1 record. It will be seen as a success with the large amount of injuries, plus it will bring the teams moral up greatly. So, with the Chiefs tomorrow, here are some things to look out for:
5. Kevin Kolb- Kolb had some good plays and bad plays in his first NFL start. No matter how you look at it though, the Eagles lost, and struggled to put up points when it mattered. The defense didn’t help. However, Kolb did show some signs of promise. Look to see if he makes progress. With one game under his belt, he should only get better…key word, SHOULD.
4. Michael Vick- How could I leave Mr. Vick out. While his name obviously needs to be mentioned, he didn’t earn a higher spot because we really don’t know an Read the rest of this entry »
Vick Upgraded…Hank Hosed…
About two weeks ago, the Eagles roster needed to be trimmed down to fifty-three players. Due to that, Michael Vick was forced to be put on the excempt list. At that point in time it was no big deal because he was ineligable for another three weeks. Out of the fifty-three players, the Eagles kept a total of seven wide recievers on the team. SEVEN??? That is an absurd amount. The ideal number for the average team is about five. I guess it is a good problem to have when the competition to make the team was that close.
However, the concept of keeping seven of those wr’s for the whole season soon came to an end. Michael Vick has been promoted to the official 53 man roster. As a result, good ole’ Hank Baskett got the hose. The Eagles have officially released Hank Baskett. I feel that the Eagles needed some extra time to let the position battling at WR play out a little more. From the time that the official 53 man roster needed to be in until when the released Baskett, I have a feeling Baskett, Brown, and Gibson were all fighting Read the rest of this entry »
Pryor Took Vick Comments Too Far
The star quarterback from Ohio State, Terrelle Pryor, has been getting a lot of heat lately for his actions during and after the football game. He wrote Vick’s name on one of his black eye strips for the team’s first game. That wasn’t a big deal to most people. The bigger deal was some of the things he said after the game when asked about the tribute to Vick. Here is some of what he said:
“Not everybody is a perfect person in the world. Everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever. I just feel that people need to give him a chance. I always looked up to Mike Vick, and I always will. I still think he’s one of the best quarterbacks. I love Mike Vick. I look up to him a lot.”
Goodell to Announce Vick’s Fate
I just wanted to post this as a quick update on the Michael Vick story. According to this video and other sources, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will make the very important call on Vick’s future before the team cuts this Saturday. It seems like the suspension will be shorter than a lot of people had in mind.
I think it’s great. Obviously, the shorter the suspension the better. The Eagles need him on the field as early as possible. If he can start playing early, he’ll have plenty of time to get back up to speed and in top shape before the end of the season and playoffs roll around. It would be huge for his development for him to get out on the field and start meshing with the team early in the season.
What are your thoughts?
McNabb vs. Vick
Okay, so I am an avid Donovan McNabb supporter. Already I have heard people say that if McNabb plays horrible they want Reid to put Vick in. This makes me disgusted. Now, I love the Vick signing and I think he can add a lot of things to this team, but when I heard this, my jaw seriously dropped. Seriously? I mean really… seriously? How can someone even think about a move like that. I don’t care how good Vick is or is going to be, if McNabb is benched and Vick becomes the starter I will lose total faith in the Eagles organization. Furthermore if fans support it, I will lose total respect for the fans that I thought were the most loyal in the game.
McNabb brought Vick in. Vick wouldn’t be on the Eagles and maybe not on an NFL team for certain if it were not fore McNabb. Talk about a team player… a player who realizes Vick can help. Read the rest of this entry »
