Is Jeff Carter the Odd Man Out?
That’s what the mainstream media has been hinting at recently.
Nobody truly knows what will happen until it actually goes down but until then, there will be non-stop speculation. One rumor spreading around the league is that the Flyers may be without Jeff Carter next season.
They have a situation in which they have more centers than necessary - especially with Danny Briere excelling in the position during the playoffs. According to Holmgren, having 5 centers is “a good problem to have.”
They also need more money. If the Flyers don’t make a move, they’ll only have just over $9 million to sign a minimum of seven players. Is that even possible? Read the rest of this entry »
Life Without Gagne and Carter
Simon Gagne and Jeff Carter will both have surgery on their right foot this Friday. Both Gagne and Carter suffered a fracture in their right foot during the game last night. Ironically they both came from interfering with a slap shot. Gagne was hit with the puck shot by New Jersey’s Kovalchuck. Carter was hit by teammate Chris Pronger but at least his injury resulted in his second goal of the night.
Both players are listed as day-to-day and obviously won’t be able to play Thursday. However it us unsure when they will exactly be able to return. So what is the team losing with Gagne and Carter unable to play? Well undoubtedly they are losing two players who are considered as leaders to the team. Gagne has been Read the rest of this entry »
It All Comes Down to This

With so much excitement and anxiety surrounding the Flyers next 2 games, you can be assured that they will be entertaining. They have been playing well as of late and should be able to put it away. Read the rest of this entry »
Carcillo a Vital Part of the Flyers
Last night the Flyers took on the Toronto Maple Leafs and there was a ton of action. The Flyers since coming back from the Olympic break were 1-2 going into last nights game. Now they are 2-2 and last night showed a lot of things about the team. From defense to offense the Flyers played an exceptional game and I can only hope that they can continue to play at that level.
I saw three things from last nights game that I was impressed with:
3) Leighton has what it takes to be the goalie that can push the Flyers through the post season. He made all the Read the rest of this entry »
Flyers Game Tonight
I will be attending the Flyers game tonight in Philadelphia against the Atlanta Thrashers. The Thrashers have a very similar record to the Flyers. While they have three less wins, they have one less loss and five more overtime losses. When looking at the points, the Flyers have 55 and the Thrashers have 54. The Flyers are third in the Atlantic Division, and the Thrashers are third in the Southeast. However, in the Eastern Conference, the Flyers are sixth and the Thrashers are eleventh. While the teams Read the rest of this entry »
