The Flyers and Blackhawks aren’t too familiar with eachother. They only played once this season in Philadelphia and the Blackhawks weren’t using their current goaltender. The Flyers won that game back on March 13th but it was anything but a blowout. Pronger’s goal with 2.1 seconds left in the third gave them the win.

Flyers Game Tonight
I will be attending the Flyers game tonight in Philadelphia against the Atlanta Thrashers. The Thrashers have a very similar record to the Flyers. Last season ended with a disappointing series that was lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins in first round of the playoffs. The defeat definitely left a bad taste in the players mouth for a couple of reasons. First, it came against cross state rivals. Second because they were clearly outplayed. Finally, because no team wants to work all season, get into the playoffs, and lose in the first round. However that is all behind them now. The preseason is winding down, and there is nothing but a positive vibe buzzing around the Flyers organization.
The team has it all. They have the seasoned veterans that have been on the team and understand the system. They have the young fresh players that are looking forward to contribute in any way possible. Then there are the new additions to the team that are excited to come into an organization that wants to win, and wants to win now. Read the rest of this entry »
