Flyers Game 2 Preview

Flyers goalie Brian Boucher notes, "We weren´t sharp  around the front of the net" in Saturday´s loss.

Saturday’s game was a heartbreaker. They lost in overtime to the Bruins in Boston which makes game 2 that much more important. This is a must win because falling behind in a series 2-0 is hard to come back from.

There were some good and bad signs in the exciting game one. The first period and overtime were the bad signs. They were out played physically and in every statistical aspect of the game. In the overtime period, the Flyers were out-shot 15-4. You won’t win many overtime games giving up that many shots in less than 13 minutes.

They also made mistakes and didn’t capitalize on chances. For instance, Carcillo had a break away in overtime but wasn’t patient enough to get the puck past Rask. Read the rest of this entry »
