The Eagles Will Finish With ___ Wins This Year

We’re back with another installment of “Fill It In” with an interesting question. On Saturday Eagles fans were impressed and content. The Birds were off to a 3-1 start and were up against the horrible Oakland Raiders. By the time the Eagles played on Sunday, we also knew that the Giants lost and an Eagles win would move them into a tie for first in the NL East.

Then they played the game on Sunday and for those few hours, all of our excitement went down the drain. They looked sloppy in almost all aspects of the game. The offensive line was atrocious and did not permit the team to run. Because of how bad they were, McNabb was sacked and hurried too many times to be productive. Missed field goals and bad calls by the referees also contributed to the embarrassing loss. Many experts and fans changed their outlook on the rest of the season after this game. Did you? Here is this week’s “Fill It In” :

The Eagles will finish with ____ wins this year.

Our opinion:10. I’m not convinced that Sunday’s game was the true Eagles team. Read the rest of this entry »

Without McNabb, the Eagles Chances of Beating the Saints are _____.

The Eagles looked incredibly strong last week against the Panthers. Their defense shut down the potent Carolina offense. The offense looked great and the special teams even had spectacular plays. They even did all this while playing on the road. After watching that game, it was clear the Eagles would be dominant this year….if they stayed healthy. Too bad they didn’t and McNabb put himself on the line even though the Birds had a sizable lead. Now he’s hurt and it will definitely affect this team. So here’s the statement:

Without McNabb, the Eagles chances of beating the Saints are _____.

Our Opinion: 50-50. If McNabb was the starter in this game, the chances they would beat them would have been in the 90’s Read the rest of this entry »

I Am ___ the Eagles Signed Vick!

It is no long new news that our Philadelphia Eagles have signed ex Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.  Now that the dust has settled (a little) we want to hear how you will finish our latest “Fill It It”.

I Am ____ the Eagles Signed Vick

Our opinion :Shocked. I am shocked that the Eagles signed Michael Vick.  Not only because it was completely under the radar, but because it goes against everything the Eagles organization believes in.  The Eagles have played it safe in free agency ever since the T.O. debacle.  They have not taken many risks or brought in any type of star talent on either side of the ball besides Asante Samuel in the past couple of years.

Now, they go out and agree to one of the most controversial signings in team history.  Talk about mind blowing, and that is why I am shocked.  Shocked however does not mean disappointed, or disgusted, or displeased.  Give the man a shot, let him prove he’s out to do good…besides, he doesn’t make our team any worse right?

How would you fill it in?

Pedro Looks ____ in his Phils Debut

PhillySportsChat.com has been thinking of adding a new segment/addition to our website.  We brainstormed and really liked the idea of adding a new category to our posts called…”Fill It In”.  The concept is that we will come up with a hypethetical  sentence/headline/quote/etc. and within it, there will be a blank.  The word that fills in the blank is completely up to you.  Leave a comment and tell us how you would fill in the blank.  Here’s todays “Fill It In”:

On Thursday morning, Phillies fans will awake to this headline:

Pedro Looks __ in his Phils Debut.

Our opinion: Reliable.  Pedro won’t go nine innings and strike out 12 batters.  Pedro won’t pitch three innings and give up 12 runs.  Pedro will go a very solid five to six innings and give up no more than four runs.  With that being said, the Phillies offense will need to produce some rbi’s early in the game, which they can definately do.  Pedro will keep the game close as long as the Phillies are giving him run support.  If that happens, Pedro will prove to be a reliable pitcher in his debut start.

What do you think?..Fill it in!
