Carcillo a Vital Part of the Flyers
Last night the Flyers took on the Toronto Maple Leafs and there was a ton of action. The Flyers since coming back from the Olympic break were 1-2 going into last nights game. Now they are 2-2 and last night showed a lot of things about the team. From defense to offense the Flyers played an exceptional game and I can only hope that they can continue to play at that level.
I saw three things from last nights game that I was impressed with:
3) Leighton has what it takes to be the goalie that can push the Flyers through the post season. He made all the Read the rest of this entry »
Jones vs. Taylor

The Eagles need a running back, and preferably one who has been in the league for a couple of years. As of now the only running back that the Eagles know will be on the roster come August is second year Pitt running back McCoy. There are really a handful of options that the Eagles could explore but two of the most interesting ones are Thomas Jones and Chester Taylor. Read the rest of this entry »
Weaver an Important Piece for 2010
Despite their long list of obvious problems to fix, one of the Eagles top off-season priorities should be locking up fullback Leonard Weaver to a long term deal. Reports say the talks have begun.
Weaver was an important part of the offense in 2009. It was his first year with the team but he fit perfectly into the position and gained about 500 total yards and 4 touchdowns. He was even selected to his first pro bowl and proved to be a huge piece of the west-coast offense that this team was missing for years. Read the rest of this entry »
Westbrook and Weaver Back McNabb
Here we go again with another McNabb post right? Well, yes this is another McNabb post. It’s hard not to write about such a hot topic in Philadelphia sports though. There is so much going on and no one really knows what to believe. Did Kolb really receive a contract extension offer? Are the Eagles really entertaining trade proposals for McNabb? And if so, what would it take to send McNabb away? All of these questions are being “answered” by people who really are only guessing. Andy Reid said that McNabb will be here in 2010 right after the loss in the playoffs. Just recently he said it again and the new GM stated that Andy Read the rest of this entry »
ESPN Pranked (Video)
When the news hit that the Eagles released Brian Westbrook, some people were in shock and some people definitely saw it coming. Then there was the person who saw an opportunity to take complete advantage of the situation, and at ESPN’s expense. Yesterday, live on ESPN, they took a phone call with whom they thought was Brian Westbrook. Now when you watch the video below, if you are a true Eagles fan you will be able to hear right away that the person on the phone sounds Read the rest of this entry »
Thank You Brian Westbrook
Brian Westbrook was released by the Philadelphia Eagles today. We all knew this moment was coming- especially after watching the nagging injuries slow him down and impact his numbers over the past 2 seasons. He was coming off a 274 yard rushing season and was owed over $7 million dollars next year. If you’re like me, you know the move makes sense but it’s still hard to see him go.
Westbrook was the heart of the Eagles offense since 2004 and was an impact player since the day he was drafted. Read the rest of this entry »
Go After Peppers?
The Eagles need to make improvements, we all know that. However, at what price will the Eagles do so. Will they go after a big name player in free agency? Will they move around in the draft to satisfy their needs? No one really knows for sure. I don’t even think the Eagles have a strong idea of how they will fix the team. Maybe going with the flow will be the best policy. There has been large speculations on the Eagles going after defensive end Julius Peppers. Peppers (Carolina Panthers) is a weapon at the position and would create tremendous problems playing opposite Read the rest of this entry »
Cowboys Keep Losing Their Manhood
Football season is over but there’s always time for Eagles fans to make fun of the Cowboys. I saw these 2 commercials recently so I just felt like posting them up here for all other Eagles fans to enjoy.
Jimmy Johnson- that guy who led the Cowboys to consecutive super bowl wins- is now a big advocate of Extenze. Extenze is a natural male enhancement product for when your manhood just isn’t working right. He is proud to announce to the world that he uses and loves the product. He’s their new spokesperson and I’m sure he’s making Cowboys fans proud. I heard Jimmy just signed a contract to be the spokesperson for Depend for men. Enjoy: Read the rest of this entry »
Whats with Westbrook?
Obviously all the talk has been about the quarterback situation in Philadelphia. However, people are overlooking that one of the Eagles most versatile players in franchise history may not be returning next season. Brian Westbrook is under contract with the Eagles and is due over seven million dollars. How will the Eagles handle the situation? Westbrook played in only seven games last season. If he were to do that this year, he’d be making over a mill a game, quite the compensation. That won’t happen.
If Westbrook returns to Philadelphia, he will be Read the rest of this entry »
Eagles’ Schedule Looks Brutal
This year the Eagles ended with a good record at 11-5 but if you look over their schedule, they didn’t have too much competition. They only played 5 games against teams that ended their seasons above .500 and they lost 4 of them. If this team had a tougher schedule this past season, I think things would have turned out a lot differently and probably ended in them missing the playoffs.I hope something changes before next season because the Eagles have one of the toughest schedules Read the rest of this entry »
